Description

Hamburger Steaks in Creamy Dill Sauce feature tender, juicy patties paired with a luscious, plant-based creamy dill sauce. This comforting dish combines fresh herbs and rich flavors for a satisfying and elegant meal perfect for family dinners or special occasions.

Ingredients

Scale

Hamburger Steaks

  • 1 lb ground beef (or plant-based beef alternative)
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Creamy Dill Sauce

  • 1 cup plant-based cream
  • 2 tbsp fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 tbsp vegetarian Worcestershire sauce (natural)
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp natural gelling agent
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare your ingredients: Finely chop the onion and garlic, wash and chop the fresh dill. Measure out the plant-based cream and other sauce ingredients for an organized cooking process.
  2. Form the hamburger steaks: In a bowl, combine ground beef with the minced onion, garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix gently to avoid overworking the meat, then shape into evenly sized patties.
  3. Cook the hamburger steaks: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for 4 to 5 minutes on each side until they are nicely browned and cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside, keeping the browned bits in the pan.
  4. Make the creamy dill sauce: In the same skillet, add the plant-based cream, fresh dill, vegetarian Worcestershire sauce (natural), apple cider vinegar, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Stir gently and sprinkle in the natural gelling agent to thicken. Cook for about 3 to 5 minutes until the sauce is luscious and warm.
  5. Combine and serve: Return the cooked hamburger steaks to the skillet, spoon the creamy dill sauce over them, and let warm for another minute. Serve immediately to enjoy maximum flavor.

Notes

  • Use fresh dill for best aroma and flavor.
  • Mix meat gently to keep patties tender and juicy.
  • Ensure patties are well-browned for depth of flavor.
  • Simmer the sauce gently to prevent separation.
  • Let patties rest a few minutes before serving to redistribute juices.
